Growing up in Alaska, winter wasn’t something to endure—it was a way of life. Frozen rivers became highways, snowmachines became freedom, and adventure was never far away. Years later, Laura raced the legendary Iron Dog, becoming part of the first all-women’s team to compete in the race. She later served as Executive Director, helping shape one of Alaska’s greatest traditions.

Those experiences inspired Iron Dog: Ride the Edge, her debut Y/A adventure novel.
